Content/Project Manager
AHA! is a strategic communications firm with expertise in writing. We’re looking for a contract content/project manager to work in a highly collaborative environment.
This person will work with AHA! team members, clients and other agency partners to support a large product packaging account. The job requires an aptitude for tracking detailed information and taking steps to ensure quality, managing project schedules and partner relationships, keeping pace with changes in project scope, and responding to urgent client/project needs. This person will work both independently and collaboratively, and must be equally committed to meeting client/project needs and supporting our creative process.
Responsibilities include:
- Track content details such as brand and style guidelines, and product and packaging specs, with a focus on accuracy and consistency
- Proofread packaging copydecks and layouts to ensure client feedback is properly implemented, product specifications are accurate, and spelling and grammar are correct
- Create and/or track style rules and guidelines to provide consistent, accurate deliverables
- Apply knowledge across projects and clients
- Create and manage project schedules
- Communicate with team and clients when schedule adjustments are necessary
- Make day-to-day decisions that ensure project success, including adjusting schedules and finding alternative staff resources as necessary
- Work with account managers and account directors to support and deepen client relationships
- Work with the business group’s account and creative management to communicate staffing needs and rebalance workloads when necessary
- Set up, monitor and update projects using the agency’s project management tool, Workamaji
Required expertise and qualifications:
- Ability to compare and proofread content (copy and design) to identify errors and inconsistencies
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills
- Basic understanding of and experience with marketing and business communications
- Strong communication skills in conversation and in writing
- Attention to detail a must
- Experience using project management software; experience with
- Workamajig highly valued
Required education and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, communications, business management, journalism, English or related field
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in one or both of the following preferred:
- Direct client contact within an agency environment
- Collaboration within an organization’s internal marketing or communications department
This is a 2-3 month on-site contract position with a target of up to 30 hours per week.
